Tip #26 - {Building a Routine}
Tuesday , 27 November 2012 , 05 : 31 PM
I can’t stress how important it is to find a wash routine that works for you and to *stick* to it. Yes, it will probably be different than your friends, or someone on the internets, and that’s OK. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

I remember when I first started cloth diapering, I second guessed my wash routine almost every time I did diaper laundry. I would tweak s
omething, and screw it all up, and then battle for a few washes to get back in to a groove, all because I’d gotten some advice about something I wasn’t doing “right”. Finally I just said whatever and kept doing what worked and despite all of the different wash routines I hear about, and even some changes that I recommend often, I stick with *my* routine because it works for us.

Everyone has a different baby, a different washer, a different detergent, a different wash schedule… I could go on for a while – the point is, because there are so many variables involved diaper laundry, don’t expect everyone’s routine to be exactly the same.

I do give out a “cookie cutter” wash routine recommendation to people in the boutique but I also follow it up with reasons why you might want to deviate from that.

To prove my point, let me hear all about your wash routines and if you do anything you consider special, explain it a bit.
