I have appropriately waited to do this tip for a day that I was late on my tip. Why you may ask? Well, you’ll understand once you’ve heard the tip :)
So… sometimes life gets crazy and gets in the way of things you need to do – including diaper laundry (and writing cloth tips apparently). A lot of families that come in to the boutique, inquiring about cloth and venturing through the first stages, are often overwhelmed with being on a “laundry schedule”. What if you miss a day? What if you start wash late? Then you have no diapers! Right?!?
Well, that could be right but my tip for the day is this: have 4 prefolds and a cover outside of your normal stash for those “emergencies”, no matter what type you normally use. It’ll cost you at most $20 which is well worth it for the peace of mind it can offer. You can be a little late starting diaper laundry, you don’t have to stress if baby poops each time you change her FOUR DIAPERS IN A ROW, and you don’t have to worry as much if the humidity is making your diaper drying take longer than usual.
They don’t have to be the right size (the idea is to have it be easy and not have to think about it, right?) because you can just trifold a smaller prefold into the cover. Just make sure they’re prepped so when you need them they’re good to go.
Do you have any advice for diaper back-ups or just-in-case’s?
